When the opportunity came about to be apart of this traveling dress series, I just had to jump at it. I knew this Cora and Violet dress would be perfect for my own sweet baby's 18 month milestone portraits (excuse me while I cry about how big she is getting). I had been waiting for my turn with this dress for months and when it was finally in my hands, I just couldn't wait to get out and photograph with it! I immediately envisioned my daughter wearing this dress in a beautiful setting, surrounded by greenery, so I began searching for the perfect location--and that is exactly what I found.
I mean, seriously, could this greenhouse be anymore enchanting?! Even in the 100 degree heat and intense humidity, my baby girl and I absolutely loved exploring here. From inside the greenhouses, to the outdoor displays, and even the kitty roaming around, this place does not have a bad spot!
This sweet girl did not start out in a good mood and has a serious case of PCS (Photographer's Child Syndrome)! So, we pulled out her little bouncy ball, we peeked at the resident cat, and I snapped away capturing everything I could about her tiny features, that I know won't last too long.
The tiny, chubby feet, moving about in the dirt without a care--
The way she holds on to peer around corners and take in the sites--
The way she grabs handfuls of her dress and shows her belly without a care in the world--
And the way she reaches up for me when hot and being comforted by nursing--
These are the fleeting moments of toddlerhood that will fade in our memories, but should be preserved through photographs. I know I will look back at these with so much love (heck, I already do!) and I will be flooded with the memories, sounds, and emotions that came with parenting during this stage.
It's not always easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it, and always worth taking the time to capture <3
